Dr. Letz earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He was the recipient of a competitive military
medical scholarship and after medical school entered active duty in the U.S. Air Force.
He completed residency training in internal medicine at Wilford Hall in San Antonio. Dr. Letz then practiced internal medicine
for two years at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS, where he helped re-build medical services after Hurricane Katrina. He
then returned to San Antonio and completed fellowship training in allergy/immunology at Wilford Hall (at the same training program
previously attended by Dr. Arastu).
After fellowship, he served as Chief of Allergy and Immunology at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, NV. After completion of
his military service, he entered private practice in Alaska for two years, and then returned to San Antonio to join Dr. Arastu
and her dedicated team.
Dr. Letz cares for both adults and children with a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions, including asthma, allergic
rhinitis (hayfever), chronic sinusitis, eczema, drug allergy, food allergy, insect allergy, contact dermatitis, urticaria and angioedema
(hives and swelling), and primary immunodeficiency diseases.
Dr. Letz has authored several peer-reviewed publications and garnered research awards. He enjoys performing thorough evaluations
to get to the root of clinical problems in order to achieve the best possible results for patients.
In his personal time, Dr. Letz enjoys music (he previously completed a college degree in French horn performance) and studying Romanian language. He and his wife, Petronela, are happy to call San Antonio home. Dr. Letz is a board-certified allergist/immunologist and internist.
